About The Job You're Considering
We are seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Developer with DV clearance to join our team in delivering secure, high-quality SharePoint and Microsoft 365 solutions within the defence sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SharePoint development and hands-on experience with both SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-Premises (SharePoint Server Edition). Additionally, the role will require proficiency in designing and implementing solutions using SPFx (SharePoint Framework), Azure, PowerApps, Power Automate, .NET technologies, and a comprehensive understanding of the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Working within a highly secure environment, the developer will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of DevSecOps principles, OWASP security practices, and a commitment to working with a client’s secure coding methodologies. This role will involve creating, enhancing, and maintaining SharePoint solutions tailored to meet organisational needs, all while ensuring compliance with strict security standards.
Your Role
- Secure Development Practices: Ensure all solutions follow Microsoft security best practices (OWASP) and comply with the stringent security standards of Capgemini’s secure-sector clients, drawing on our extensive industry expertise. Custom Development: Build and customise SharePoint applications, workflows, and web parts using SPFx, .NET, and PowerApps to deliver innovative solutions that showcase Capgemini’s deep industry knowledge.
- Integration: Seamlessly integrate SharePoint solutions with other enterprise applications and services using Power Automate, REST API, and .NET, enhancing Capgemini’s service offerings across multiple sectors.
- DevSecOps Integration: Work closely with Capgemini’s DevSecOps teams to embed security principles across the software development lifecycle, implementing continuous integration and delivery pipelines in secure environments, guided by our industry-leading practices.
- Maintenance and Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SharePoint environments, including bug fixes, patches, and upgrades, ensuring high availability and performance for Capgemini’s clients in diverse industries.
- Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, security teams, and other developers to understand business needs and deliver secure, scalable solutions that align with Capgemini’s standards of excellence and industry expertise. Experience collaborating within a multi-supplier team, working alongside other vendors, is highly desirable.
Your Skills and Experience
- SharePoint Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-Premises (Server Edition).
- Expertise in developing with SPFx (SharePoint Framework) and Client\Server side Object Modelling and Experience with PowerApps, Power Automate, and SharePoint Designer workflows.
- Previous involvement in large-scale SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Edition environment rollouts, Intranet Portal Development and ongoing support.
- Experience with developing custom timer jobs and extending SharePoint using event receivers. Engaging in and contributing actively to SCRUM ceremonies and events
Desirable Skills:
- Microsoft Certifications: Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Developer, Power Platform Developer, or equivalent. Experience with Microsoft Azure for SharePoint integration and cloud-based solutions.
- Experience with Common Data Model including Plug-ins development, Security model (Roles, Business Units, Field Level, etc...), Business rules, Web API, SDK Libraries/Tools, C#.NET development, Integrations via service endpoints, and Automated Testing (Unit/Integration).
Security Clearance
To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
