We are seeking a highly experienced Base24 EPS Solutions consultant with over 15 years of deep expertise in core payment functionalities and extensive experience in the cards domain.
  • Lead the architectural design and solutioning of Base24 EPS systems for various payment processing environments.
  • Design, implement, and maintain high-performance payment processing systems in the cards domain, ensuring compliance with industry standards and security regulations.
  • Drive migration and transformation projects for payment switches, including the transition from legacy systems to modern architectures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and design scalable solutions for card issuing and acquiring operations.
  • Provide architectural guidance on ISO 8583 and ISO 20022 messaging standards to support seamless integration with payment networks.
  • Work closely with business and technical teams to translate business requirements into system design and technical solutions.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with major payment schemes (Mastercard, VISA, AMEX, JCB) and ensure system compatibility with evolving standards.
  • Lead technical discussions and design reviews, ensuring best practices are followed and systems are optimized for performance and scalability.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies or enhancements to improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of payment processing solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams involved in Base24 EPS projects.
  • Experience in both card issuing and acquiring, as well as migration and transformation of payment switches, is essential.
  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to lead complex payment solution architectures are key to this role.

The team comprise of professionals with deep industry expertise and provides Technology Solution & implementation, maintenance services for off-the-shelf products and partner with financial institutions, to build and manage in-house solutions.

Let’s talk about your capability and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Looking for a candidate with a proven track record working with major payment schemes (Mastercard, VISA, AMEX, JCB) and will be well-versed in ISO 8583 and ISO 20022 standards.
  • Experience in payment processing systems, particularly in Base24 EPS.
  • Deep understanding of core functionalities in the cards domain, including card issuing and acquiring.
  • Expertise working with major payment schemes (Mastercard, VISA, AMEX, JCB) and ensuring compliance with their standards.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 8583 and ISO 20022 payment messaging formats.
  • Experience in payment switch migration and transformation projects, including re-platforming legacy systems.
  • Familiarity with other payment switches (e.g., RS2 Bankworks, FIS IST, NCR Authentic, Lusis Tango, HPS PowerCard, or similar).
  • Excellent technical skills with a strong grasp of system architecture, integration patterns, and high-performance transaction processing.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and business teams to deliver high-quality payment solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and driving projects to successful completion.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in cloud-based payment processing systems and modern technologies.
  • Familiarity with mainframe modernization and migration strategies.
  • Certification in relevant payment systems or standards (e.g., PCI DSS, PA-DSS).
