Let us talk about the roles and responsibilities:

Manufacturing execution systems (MES) are software systems that track and control the physical processes used in manufacturing, from raw materials to end products. They occupy a layer between the ERP systems used for resource and inventory management and the process control systems responsible for manufacturing automation.

As a software engineer, you will be responsible for working with MES analysts and modelers to implement the integrations and business logic powering MES for the production of physical devices.

***This is a specialized engineering role; industry training and certification are required and will be provided by Capgemini.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build backend business logic in C#/.NET.
• Work with analysts and modelers to understand the system requirements and translate them into robust software.
• Build automated functional and end-to-end tests.
• Perform analysis and build reporting to provide visibility to the business.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to software development or manufacturing (e.g. Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering).
• 5+ years of experience in software development with hands-on experience in C#.
• Working knowledge of SQL.

Bonus points:

Experience or knowledge in any of:

• MES software (e.g. Siemens Opcenter Execution, Oracle Cloud Manufacturing, Critical Manufacturing MES)
• Life sciences, medical technology
• Web front-end development (JavaScript, Vue.js, HTML/CSS etc).
• Web backend development with ASP.NET or similar.
• PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)
• Manufacturing and supply chain.
• Scripting and automation with PowerShell.
