A platform engineer work on creating and managing the underlying systems and tools that enable developers to build, deploy, and operate their applications efficiently. The role of a platform engineer can vary depending on the client and the specific requirements of the platform they are working on.

Job Description - Grade Specific

§ Overall 8+ years working knowledge in front-end web development

§ Strong design and extensive implementation experience with Angular, NodeJS in a highly scalable production environment

§§ Extensive programming experience in HTML5, Java Script and CSS3

§ Experience with tools like Redux, Webpack, Angular CLI and/or Gulp is an added advantage

§ Experience consuming REST APIs

• Knowledge and experience in CI/CD pipelines

§ Experience with client-side architecture and design patterns

§ Understanding of the Agile Software Development Life Cycle and been exposed to Scrum projects

§ Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations

§ Solid understanding and extensive experience with version control tools like Git

§ Exceptional problem solving and ability to work independently

• Should possess basic Unix/Linux knowledge to be able to write and understand basic shell scripts and basic Unix commands

• Candidates with knowledge on webserver setup and configuration with reverse proxy/ssl setup etc (preferred nginx webserver) is a plus.

• Should have worked in Agile Environment

• Financial markets background is preferable
