Mission description
- Our client’s Engineering department is responsible for the engineering of all infrastructure projects for the development, extension and renovation of the electricity transmission grid from 30 to 380 kV. The Designer Secondary Systems is part of the project team that is led by the project manager. He/she is responsible for studies related to secondary systems. These are studies on the electrical equipment for the security system, control system, automation and measurements of the high voltage installations of the power grid.
Job description
- You assist the project manager during the feasibility or preliminary study phase of the project.
- During the study phase, you will work out and carry out design and detail studies, in particular: you organize and manage the planning of your studies according to the priorities and deliverables.
- You work out the security block diagrams and detailed principle diagrams.
- You contribute to determining and choosing the equipment.
- You control the quality of the studies through the use of approved equipment and in accordance with client norms, standards and methodologies.
- You assess and determine the standards for the subject to be studied.
- You perform a quality control for the externally made detailed studies.
- You are responsible for checking the manufacturer's documents. If necessary, you participate in the delivery tests of the electrical equipment in the factory.
- During the implementation phase you support the project manager by following up on the low voltage work on site, in particular: you are responsible for contact with the operator, the suppliers for the electrical installation work within the field of the project manager. In case of problems with the design or commissioning on site, you intervene and offer a solution.
- If necessary, you participate in the site meetings about the technical aspects, the on-site tests and the commissioning of the installations.
- During the closing phase of the project, you give a debriefing regarding the LS studies and you take care of the as-built arrangement of the schedules.
Your profile
- Master degree or equivalent experience in electricity, electronics or automation.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Windows Office applications.
- You are prepared to learn a trade that, in the long run, requires a high and specific level of expertise.
- You can plan and organize well, and you have a sense of responsibility.
- You are assertive.
- You are quality-oriented and you work accurately and precisely.
- You are fluent in French and/or Dutch and English
- You have a driver's license.
