Your opportunities as Consultant Industrial Automation at Capgemini Engineering

As external automation consultant, you are working in the heart of different client operations. Often, you are acting as coordinator, managing many stakeholders from the client, Capgemini Engineering, but also suppliers. From a client perspective, it is up to you to obtain requirements and conduct analyses. On the project side, you will review and document PLC and SCADA software being delivered or configured to ensure automation standards are met.

In this hybrid role, you are partially working at the client’s site, together with other Capgemini Engineering colleagues. It is a highly educational and rewarding role, having the opportunity to learn about several business operations. Domain or client specific trainings are also facilitated, to ensure you can be successful.

Why is this job vacancy a good fit for you?

Most importantly, you enjoy working with colleagues and clients to implement automation processes. As a lot of stakeholder management is involved, we do expect you to be able to communicate clearly with clients and suppliers. Proficiency in Dutch language is preferred, but not required. From a technical viewpoint, the majority of our clients are working with PLC and SCADA software from Siemens and Emerson (TIA Portal, WinCC, DeltaV, PCS7). It is therefore important to have knowledge in at least one of these packages. However, you are not expected to do a lot of programming. This role concerns rather reviewing and monitoring what is programmed by suppliers.
