Capgemini Engineering is seeking a dedicated CQR Engineer to join our team. This exceptional opportunity offers you the chance to thrive in a fast-paced environment where you will enhance vehicle quality to meet our high standards. You will take autonomous decisions that directly impact automotive products and processes, ensuring a detailed and proactive approach to quality management. You will collaborate with suppliers and support the Quality Plant Engineering Manager to ensure vehicles are successfully marketed and held to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement containment actions to protect customers.
- Diagnose vehicle issues, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure pre-analysis activities are completed in a timely manner.
- Lead risk assessments and build corrective action plans.
- Ensure product and process maturity and suggest alternative solutions to prevent production delays.
- Participate in Quality Engineering technical clubs and contribute to innovation.
- Ensure alignment with technical requirements and standards.
- Maintain team skill levels and uphold safety standards.
- Provide technical support for Yard Holds and PRIs, considering equivalent experience for educational requirements.
- Conduct Layered Process Audits and plant maturity audits.
- Manage and coordinate the convergence of critical quality metrics for the plant.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 8 years of leadership experience in an Engineering department or Vehicle Plant.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage across all levels, from senior leadership to the shop floor.
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams, manage product changes, and deliver launches on time.
- Experience with RCA and corrective action implementation.
- Willingness to adapt to varying work schedules, including occasional off-shift hours.
- Self-motivated, capable of growing under pressure, and detail-oriented.
- Proficient in English and the plant’s local language.
Preferred Skills:
- Green Belt certification.
- Experience with World Class Manufacturing (WCM).
