Let’s talk about the roles and responsibilities:

The Senior MES Modeler will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing MES solutions to meet client requirements and enhance manufacturing operations. This role requires extensive experience in MES systems, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to lead and mentor a team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful project delivery and a strategic mindset for aligning MES solutions with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and configuration of MES solutions, including process steps, flows, products, resources (equipment), recipes, checklists, and documents.
  • Ensure that system configurations align with client requirements and industry best practices.
  • Oversee and manage MES implementation projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project scope.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including clients, developers, and business analysts, to achieve project goals.
  • Act as a primary consultant for clients, providing expert advice on MES functionalities and process improvements.
  • Conduct requirements gathering and analysis to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Develop and implement MES solutions that optimise manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and ensure scalability.
  • Continuously assess and enhance system performance, addressing any issues or bottlenecks.
  • Oversee the testing and validation of MES solutions to ensure they meet quality standards and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to develop and execute test plans and resolve any defects.
  • Lead the team to deliver comprehensive documentation for MES configurations, processes, and user guides.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for clients and internal teams on MES functionalities and best practices.
  • Mentor and guide MES modelers and developers, providing support and sharing expertise.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in MES.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance system capabilities and performance.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or other IT-related field.
  • 8-12 years of experience with MES systems, preferably Critical Manufacturing (CM) solutions.
  • Proven expertise in designing and configuring MES solutions, with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading complex MES implementations.
  • Strong Manufacturing domain knowledge on Production process, Assembly process etc.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in modelling or implementation of MES software.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic approach to solution design.
  • Proficiency in documentation, training, and presenting technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Additional Experience:
  • Proven experience working in lean and agile environments, effectively collaborating with remote teams to deliver MES projects.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management principles.
  • It is good to know programming languages such as C#, Javascript, HTML.
  • Knowledge on SQL Server.
  • Ability to use situational leadership skills to work collaboratively and influence key stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to motivate and deliver results.
  • Self-starter / Team Leader.
