Part of the Capgemini Group, Sogeti makes business value through technology for organizations that need to implement innovation at speed and want a local partner with global scale. With a hands-on culture and close proximity to its clients, Sogeti are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join our expanding sales function to focus on growing our new business revenue where you will be responsible for B2B sales, driving customer acquisition, and converting leads into sales. You'll play a critical role in helping businesses save time and money and delivering overall business growth for Sogeti.

You will be responsible for various new business building activities, typically:

  • Driving new business and new logos acquisition from your professional network and in conjunction with our Lead Generation and Pre-Sales Team.
  • Development of sales plans for target accounts leveraging Sogeti’s industry leading solutions and delivery capability
  • Generation of sales pipeline, qualification of opportunities and leading the opportunity through all stages of the sales process
  • Development of win themes, overall proposition and collaboration with solutions teams to shape the proposal to meet client requirements and create a unique, differentiated market position against competition
  • Development of commercials models to create a winning proposal
  • Leads and supports contract negotiations and ensures compliance with Sogeti’s cooperate governance policies
  • Managing client relationships and commercial engagements to ensure successful delivery and develop strategic partnerships with key senior stakeholders
  • Working with channel partners to co-create propositions in both a sell with and sell through models
  • Collaboration with Marketing and Pre-sales teams to devise and execute demand generation strategies

As you develop, you will build up a broad base of knowledge for your future with us. Across all of these areas you will be expected to use your initiative and drive to produce successful results and it goes without saying that team-working will be crucial to your success.

Essential for the Business Development Manager to have:-

  • Demonstratable track record of successfully hitting new business targets over a considerable period of time adopting levels of resilience and tenacity that go with a hunter mentality/existence.
  • Experience of working within a service integrator or consulting type organisation
  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders, both externally (clients and partners) and internally
  • Understanding of Sales Methodologies and approaches
  • Experience of operating within a structured sales process, utilisation of Sales CRM systems and delivery to agreed Sales KPIs
  • Extensive network of contacts within target market segments
  • Good commercial knowledge for making T&M (Time & Material) / fixed Price / managed services deals.
  • Experience driving building relationships with channel partners to drive pipeline and sales
  • Experience of working with a global delivery model – offshore is a big positive.
  • The ability to work own proposals, presentations, articulation of value to prospects.

Security Clearance requirement

To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.

There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.

There are other criteria and check required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
