Senior Applications Consultant - ETL Informatica

We are seeking an experienced ETL Lead proficient in Informatica Power Center, with a strong background in Mainframe technologies including Cobol, JCL, and DB2, as well as Easytrieve. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes and data integration solutions

Location - Woodland Hills, CA (hybrid)

Duration - Fulltime

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement ETL mappings and workflows using Informatica Power Center.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Utilize Mainframe skills (Cobol, JCL, DB2) and Easytrieve for data extraction and integration tasks.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability throughout the ETL process.
  • Work with Oracle VPD and PostgreSQL databases for data access and management.
  • Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts for automation and scheduling of ETL jobs.
  • Integrate data via web services and API endpoints as part of ETL workflows.
  • Use Erwin Data Modeler for data modeling and schema design.
  • Implement Informatica ILM (Information Lifecycle Management) for data governance and compliance.

Required skills

  • Proficiency in Informatica Power Center for ETL development.
  • Strong understanding of Mainframe technologies: Cobol, JCL, DB2, and Easytrieve.
  • Experience with Oracle VPD and/or PostgreSQL for database operations.
  • Unix shell scripting skills for automation and scheduling.
  • Familiarity with web services and API integration.
  • Knowledge of Erwin Data Modeler for data modeling and schema design.
  • Understanding of Informatica ILM concepts for data lifecycle management.

Preferred Skills

  • Certifications in Informatica Power Center or related technologies.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize ETL processes for performance and scalability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary Transparency

Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. The disclosed range represents the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting, although we may ultimately pay more or less than the disclosed range, and the range may be modified in the future. The disclosed range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, geographic location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $103330 - $128656 /yearly.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
