About the job you’re considering​

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and services that support our web applications and APIs
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance, availability, and reliability
• Apply software engineering best practices to automate testing, deployment, and incident response
• Strong emphasis on site reliability engineer as an engineering function with a focus on architecture, design & automation.
• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to identify and prioritize system requirements and improvements.

Your role

• Working understanding on Scaling, Capacity Planning and Disaster Recovery.
• Incident, change & problem management experience.
• Strong background in monitoring and logging of large-scale platforms i.e., Nagios, Prometheus, Splunk, New Relic etc.
• Strong emphasis on site reliability engineer as an engineering function with a focus on architecture, design & automation.
• Familiarity with configuration and deployment management (Scripting, Visualisation, AWS, Unix, Java, Databases, Kubernetes, Docker etc).

Your security clearance

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS)​

To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks. ​

There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.​

There are other criteria and checks required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
