Job Description:
Capgemini is looking for Mechanical and Physical Engineer- Drivability Development Engineer who will be carrying out and analysis of tests intended for the calibration or validation of the Drivability and Engine-Gearbox Intersystem functions (characterization of the powertrain, idle speed PIV, anti-lock, PIV IS, not exhaustive). Engaging in development missions (hot; cold; temperate; altitude) and is proficient in preparation and dissemination of reports, Acquisition data filing and store the analysis results into a database and examination of the issues encountered during the development process
Key Responsibilities
· Expert in development of precautionary, balanced solutions, update of the repositories and carry over policy. Specification and coding of solutions for automatic processing of validation tests or from the data lake.
· Idle speed calibration (rpm, regulation)
· Calibration of component protection strategies and functions.
· BVM/BVMP/BVA take-off and brio (smoke mapping, anti-droop, idle adaptability)
· Proficient in System Validation, Engine side anti-stall pre-calibration, Calibration of the close control and Basic PWT adaptation and System calibration and PWT functional integration
· Follow-up of functional and inter-system validation tests and follow-up of supplier development activities
· Proficiency in Calibration of BVA gear changes: stable foot, throttle release, pedal depression with different *Lock-up states in Drive and CMI, Calibration of commitments under all vehicle operating conditions, Calibration of gearbox self-adaptive devices, Torque bypass calibration. Anti-overspeed calibration and Calibration of temperature patches, drag reduction, turbine torque recovery function, calibration safety.
· Coordinate Validation of engine and PWT behaviour (quality of torque exchange, compliance with gearbox requirements, compliance with rpm instructions, etc.) during gear shifts
· Validation of intra-PWT and PWT-vehicle exchanges (flow, quality) and Engine software validation at each project phase!
· System calibration (converter status, ratio, gearbox learning, etc.), Calibration and validation of PWT degraded modes and behaviour in Lock-up management phases and become proficient in the calibration of learning (transmissibility, kiss point, grid, synchro point, clutch actuator) and the thermal models (clutch, hydraulics)
· Proficient in Thermal models’ calibrations (clutch, hydraulic oil) and Take-off Calibration, Clutch opening/closing calibration without and with gearshift and of torque blending functions, Calibration of hyper shift mode gear shifts and of automatic switch thresholds, Warm up calibrations and verifications, Inter-system optimization, Engine Torque accuracy verification and Fine-tune calibration and anti-lock validation, Drivability objective evaluation, ADAS interactions.
Required Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and IC in electrical engineering with minimum 7 years of experience in transmission and vehicle emissions.
· Proficient skills in Inca, MDA, Creta, Concerto, Optisim work environments
· Permits necessary for carrying out tests (driving, electrical, etc.) if necessary.
· Good knowledge of office tools (MS office pack) along with knowledge of electrical concepts and multiplexing system and PID Control Systems
· Valid Driver's License and engine inter-system
