About the job you're considering

We are looking for a talented and experienced AWS Cloud Architect & Python Tech Lead to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing cloud solutions on AWS, leading Python development projects, and managing a technical team. This role demands a blend of architectural acumen, hands-on coding skills, and leadership abilities to drive the successful execution of our technical initiatives.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.​

Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience with high-load and microservice systems.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on AWS.
• 5+ years of experience in Python development.
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.

Technical Skills:
• Deep expertise in AWS services (IoT, EC2, S3, EventBridge, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFront, etc.).
• Strong proficiency in Python and related frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) technologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like CircleCI, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Strong knowledge of database structure systems
• Strong knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.

Soft Skills:
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Your security clearance

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS)​

To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks. ​

There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.​

There are other criteria and checks required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.​
