We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Fleet Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Perth-based taxi fleet and being the escalating point for our WA team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving fleet utilisation, ensuring vehicles meet safety and cleanliness standards, and maintaining a high standard of overall fleet presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Fleet Utilisation:

  • Develop and implement strategies to maximise vehicle availability and usage across the Perth fleet, including driver engagement, scheduling, and vehicle rotation.
  • Operational Oversight:
    Manage the allocation, dispatch, and return processes to ensure efficiency and minimal downtime.
  • Vehicle Safety & Compliance:
    Ensure all vehicles comply with safety regulations, scheduled servicing, and required inspections. Liaise with maintenance providers as needed.
  • Cleanliness & Presentation:
    Oversee vehicle cleanliness protocols and uphold brand presentation standards. Conduct regular audits and take corrective action where needed.
  • Reporting & Data Analysis:
    Monitor fleet performance metrics and provide regular reports on utilisation, downtime, and operational improvements.
  • Team Leadership:
    Lead and support local operational staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in fleet operations, logistics, or transport management (taxi or similar industry preferred)
  • Strong understanding of vehicle compliance, safety standards, and maintenance planning
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
