About the role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Fleet Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Perth-based taxi fleet and looking for them to . The successful candidate will be responsible for driving fleet utilisation, ensuring vehicles meet safety and cleanliness standards, and maintaining a high standard of overall fleet presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fleet Utilisation:
Develop and implement strategies to maximise vehicle availability and usage across the Perth fleet, including driver engagement, scheduling, and vehicle rotation. - Operational Oversight:
Manage the allocation, dispatch, and return processes to ensure efficiency and minimal downtime. - Vehicle Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all vehicles comply with safety regulations, scheduled servicing, and required inspections. Liaise with maintenance providers as needed. - Cleanliness & Presentation:
Oversee vehicle cleanliness protocols and uphold brand presentation standards. Conduct regular audits and take corrective action where needed. - Reporting & Data Analysis:
Monitor fleet performance metrics and provide regular reports on utilisation, downtime, and operational improvements. - Team Leadership:
Lead and support local operational staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience in fleet operations, logistics, or transport management (taxi or similar industry preferred)
- Strong understanding of vehicle compliance, safety standards, and maintenance planning
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
